Artist led Artspace Workshop - Leeds Art Gallery, 31st October - 3rd November 2023

A response to Sonia Boyce's 'Feeling Her Way Exhibition'. Participants were invited to create work focusing on repeating patterns, colours and shapes influenced by Sonia Boyce's work using drawing and collage, to create a communal tessalating wallpaper pattern. 

School Assembly - Leeds, November 2023

 

An artist led assembly style content for teaching and learning connected to 'Artists of the global majority', for year 6 pupils in a Leeds primary school increasing visibility of a diverse range of artists through presenting my own practice.

Presentation for trainee teachers - Leeds, March 2024

An artist-led workshop for trainee teachers, which encouraged the introduction of art and creative thinking within the school curriculum. This workshop focused specifically on the intersection between artist practice and the archive.

Art Block Wallpaper Design - South London Gallery, March 2024 - July 2024

A project working with the young people who attend Art Block to create a wallpaper for the space. The project consisted of delivering a 2 hour workshop for the participants of Art Block, guiding the creation of repeating patterns and emphasising a connection with their local area. Following this I then designed a wallpaper pattern to be displayed permanently in Art Block's space based on the drawings created in the workshop.

Bunting Workshop for Windrush Day - South London Gallery, 22 June 2024

A paper bunting workshop using collage and drawing and taking inspiration from Caribbean flags, plants and objects from Caribbean homes as well as the Peckham and Camberwell environment.

Woodland collaging workshop, Leeds - July 2024

A workshop exploring the connection between Gledhow Woods and Beck through art, Participants created collages and leaf rubbings using art supplies and foraged materials collected in Gledhow Woods. To explore different textures found in nature and increase connections to the surrounding local area.

'Make a Connection with Home' - Leeds Art Gallery, 30th July - 8th August 2024

A workshop in response to Peter Mitchell's 'Nothing Lasts Forever'  Paticipants were offered a selection as curated by the artist of photographs by Peter Mitchell as a starting point and were encouraged to create their own collages about their connections to home and to Leeds.
